MY BIOGRAPHY


MY NAME IS ABDUL JABBAR.
I’M FROM NORTH ACEH ESPECIALLY IN PANTON LABU.
I WAS BORN IN EAST ACEH IN MAY 13 1987 AND NOW I’M 22 YEARS OLD.
HERE I LIVE IN STUI.
MY HOBBIES ARE FISHING, READING, AND WALKING ARROUND.
MY HOPE IS TO BE A BUSSINESSMAN.
MY FAMILY IS LIVING IN NORTH ACEH.
I HAVE A BIG FAMILY THAT CONSISTS OF THREE SISTERS AND FOUR BROTHERS.
I AM GRADUATED FROM SD P
ANTON LABU ( ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ), ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL, LHOKNGA, AND MAN 2 BANDA ACEH.
NOW I AM ONLY STUDYING IN AN INSTITUTE THAT STATE INSTITUTE FOR ISLAMIC STUDIES “AR-RANIRY”.
I STUDY IN TARBIYAH FACULTY WHICH IS IN TEN COLLEGE. I’M STUDYING HERE BECAUSE I LOVE ENGLISH SO MUCH.

eighth meeting

we learned about the approaches in taking many sources in writing. Here, we were taught how to cite some sentences when we write something and how to collaborate them in our own words. After we learned more about it, our lecturer divided to us some of our friend’s paper of academic interest. Then we asked to find the errors on it.



seventh meeting

we submitted our academic interest paper and learn about the puzzle of definition. Every group gave the definition at least three definitions. After finding definitions, we wrote that definition on the whiteboard. Then the other group guessed the missing words. When all definitions had been filled, we corrected them together.


sixth meeting

at this meeting, we wrote about our academic writing. Each of us wrote it differently. Either about biology, medical, chemistry, English, Arabic or about education. I wrote about English at as my academic interest. After writing, we submitted it to our lecturer. Thus, we could know our friend’s academic writing which is various.

fifth meeting

lecturer gave us the examples of academic writing which were written by my senior class. Then we are asked to look for the errors. At the beginning, we did not understand the rules of academic writing, but furthermore our lecturer explained to us a little bit about its rules. Immediately, we could find the errors of that writing. Then we correct the errors by acquire the correct and what should be written in order to be right.

FOURTH MEETING

the topic explained by the lecturer that day must be presentation about language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Here, the explanation mostly about oral communication. How we do communication well.

the lecturer gave syllabus to the students. they era :

THIRD MEETING

SECOND MEETING

In the second meeting, our lecturer explained to us about the definition of English for academic purpose. And its definition is the use of English in the study settings particularly but not exclusively in higher education. Where, the main goal is the ability to cope with student’s academic specialism.
The lecturer also showed that the English for academic purpose is divided into two kinds. First of all, it was EGAP (English for general academic purpose). Secondly, it was ESAP (English for specific academic purpose).
